Todd Anderson
Todd Anderson has the legal and court experience to give Marion County residents the Common Pleas Court judge they deserve. No other candidate can match his experience.
Born and raised in the heart of Marion County, in the town of Meeker, Todd established a life deeply rooted in community values and legal excellence. A graduate of Ridgedale High School, Todd went on to earn a degree in Business Administration from Ohio State. He continued on at Capital Law School, where he earned a law degree with honors.
Over 27 years practicing law in Marion County, Todd has handled nearly every kind of legal case imaginable, including helping families and local residents solve legal problems involving custody, contracts, personal injuries, and wills. He also has extensive experience handling complex criminal cases.
Todd's scope of practice expands far beyond Marion County. He is admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for both the Southern and Northern Districts of Ohio. His expertise is further recognized by the Ohio State Bar Association's certification to handle the most difficult and legally challenging cases a lawyer can handle -- death penalty cases.
His professional affiliations include the Marion County Bar Association, where he served as President from 2019 to 2020 and the Ohio State Bar Association. He generously donates free legal services to people in need and works to support and encourage victims of domestic violence.
He understands government and public service, after being appointed by the Ohio Secretary of State to serve on our county Board of Elections, including serving as Board Chairman.
Todd's commitment to his community is evident through his extensive involvement in various organizations and initiatives. He has served on the board of the Marion Family YMCA and the Residential Home Association of Marion. A strong supporter of the right of law abiding citizens to keep and bear arms. Todd is a gun owner and active in the NRA and Ducks Unlimited.
He's also a member of the Marion County Historical Society, Marion Area Chamber of Commerce, Marion County Farm Bureau, Rotary Club, Moose, Elks, and Gyro, and the Meeker and Waldo Sportsman Clubs. For many years he served as a judge for youth mock trial competitions. His volunteer work for the Tom Fetter Memorial Youth Day and his role as a youth sports coach further highlight his commitment to nurturing the next generation.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Todd's hobbies include dog training, hunting, fishing, hiking and gardening with his family and their dog, Mabel - activities that reflect his love for the outdoors, nature, and family. He has been married to his wife, Kim, for over 28 years. Together, they raised two remarkable daughters, Arielle and Ashley.
